Co-CEO and Director
Gilad is the CEO of ION Acquisition Corp 1 and Managing Partner of ION Crossover Partners (ICP). Prior to co-founding ICP, Gilad spent a decade investing in public and private companies with Baron Capital (NY), and with Magma Venture Partners (TLV). Gilad sourced and led investments in 40+ companies that totaled over $1.5bn, including Tesla Inc., Mobileye NV, Mellanox Technologies and Varonis Systems Inc. Gilad graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tel Aviv University with a B.S. in Physics, Astronomy and Philosophy and with Honors from the Wharton School with an M.B.A.
Co-CEO and President
Avrom has over 20 years of business experience as an operational leader, startup founder and equities analyst. He has served as the COO of Seeking Alpha, SimilarWeb and Coin Sciences, a blockchain technology company and serves on the Advisory Board of a number of high growth technology companies. In addition, he previously held roles as a venture capitalist and equities analyst at investment banks, including UBS and Flemings (now J.P. Morgan). Avrom holds a B.A. in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge in England.
Jonathan is the Chairman of ION Acquisition Corp 1. He has extensive experience across the technology ecosystem in Israel and has served as Chairman, CEO and Director of over 80 public and private companies in Israel and North America. He currently divides his time between managing his family office in Canada and serving as a Partner and Senior Advisor of Viola Growth. Jonathan is also the Chairman of the board of ION Asset Management. He holds a B.A. in Near Eastern Language and Literature from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Anthony has over 30 years of finance and business development experience. He has served as the CFO and Compliance Officer of ION for more than 14 years. Prior to joining ION, Anthony served as a consultant in telecom, hi-tech and software companies, and held several key roles at Cable & Wireless. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a Graduate Diploma in Accounting and an Honours degree in Information Systems, all from the University of Cape Town in South Africa. He is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Mr. Katz has served as President of Fiverr International Ltd. (NYSE:FVRR) since February 2021, as its CFO since July 2017 and served as its CFO under a consulting contract from February 2011 until June 2017. Prior to joining Fiverr, Mr. Katz founded Nextage Ltd., a financial services firm, in 2001 where he was the CEO from 2001 to 2016 and currently is the Co-CEO. As CEO of Nextage, Mr. Katz was acting chief financial officer to several companies including Wix.com Ltd. (NASDAQ: WIX) , Adallom Technologies Ltd. (acquired by Microsoft Corporation), Wilocity (acquired by Qualcomm Incorporated) and Onavo (acquired by Facebook, Inc.). Mr. Katz holds a B.A. in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv University, Israel.
Ms. Ozer-Armon has served as the CEO of Lumenis since 2012. During her tenure, she managed Lumenis through a comprehensive growth and profitability turnaround, as well as an IPO on the NASDAQ in 2014 and two sales processes to private equity firms in 2016 and in 2020. Prior to joining Lumenis, Ms. Ozer-Armon headed the Japanese market activities of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA), and served as SVP of Sales and Marketing at SanDisk (Nasdaq: SNDK). She also served as VP and GM of MSystems (Nasdaq: FLSH), and as VP of Corporate Development at Comverse (Nasdaq: CMVT). She holds a B.A. in economics and an MBA majoring in finance and marketing, both from Tel-Aviv University, Israel.
