Private Equity Analyst / Associate

Position Overview

As an investment professional at ION Private Equity, you will play a critical role in analyzing investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and supporting the execution of transactions. This role is ideal for an analytical, detail-oriented professional eager to make a significant impact in the private equity space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth industry and market research to identify investment opportunities aligned with ION Private Equity’s strategy in sectors such as technology, industrials, healthcare, and business services

  • Financial Modeling: Create and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential investments and forecast returns.

  • Due Diligence: Support the due diligence process by analyzing financial statements, operational metrics, and market positioning of target companies.

  • Investment Proposals: Prepare investment memorandums, presentations, and recommendations for the internal investment committee.

  • Portfolio Monitoring: Track the performance of portfolio companies, providing insights and identifying value creation opportunities.

  • Market Trends: Stay updated on global and local market developments, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members to execute investment strategies and participate in business development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or CFA certification is an advantage).

  • 1-3 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate finance.

  • Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis.

  • Proficiency in financial tools such as Excel, Bloomberg, and Capital IQ.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex ideas effectively.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • A passion for private equity and an entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Hebrew is a plus.

ION Crossover Partners: Analyst/Associate Role

​​

ION Crossover Partners (ICP) is looking for a dynamic self-starter and highly-driven team player to join our investing team as an Analyst/Associate. 

As a Crossover fund, we are focused on investing in the next stage of some of Israel’s most exciting technology companies. Our current and past portfolio features leading companies like Fiverr, Monday.com, Resident Home, SimilarWeb, Taboola, WSC Sports, Via, Guardio, and more. 

  

A successful candidate will be entrepreneurial and self-driven with the ability to thrive in an unstructured work environment. 

Being a core part of our small but nimble investing team, you will have exposure to all aspects of the investment world: investment thesis development, financial analysis, portfolio company support, fund management, investment decision making, fundraising and more.

Impact & Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and thesis development on sectors of interest including bottom-up and top-down analysis of markets, identifying the key growth drivers of the sector, recognize the competitive dynamics and identify key risks to consider

  •  Support the Investment Team in due diligence efforts including detailed analysis of the company, product, market, competitive landscape and financial performance

  • Maintain and update sector benchmarking models and portfolio company valuation models based on changes in company performance and industry metrics

  • Monitor and keep track of the Israeli ecosystem development and ICP’s target universe and support pipeline creation

  • Provide support and guidance to portfolio companies as they scale their businesses on the global stage

  • Attend Management meetings, conferences and other networking events

  • stablish and maintain professional relationships within the firm’s network and industrywide

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  •  2-4 years of experience in Venture Capital/Private Equity, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Strategy Consulting roles

  • Hard working and willing to go above and beyond for the team

  • Robust financial modelling skills

Investor Relations Support

​

Key Activities:

As an integral member of the investor relations team reporting to the Head of Investor Relations, your primary responsibility is to assist potential and existing investors in ION’s funds, including: 

  • Assist investors in completing subscription documents and guide them through the investment process. 

  • Liaise with fund administrators to ensure all investors are signed off by them for AML purposes. 

  • Assist in collecting any documentation or information from investors to facilitate the sign-off. 

  • Ensure all information for CRS filings is collected and filed as necessary. 

  • Provide investors with any information or assistance they may need from time to time. 

  • Furnish investors with any required statements of account, tax confirmations, and information for tax or regulatory filings as needed. 

  • Support investors in submitting applications to redeem funds and ensure the safe receipt of all redemption funds. 

  • Keep our CRM software updated with all investor and fund information, ensuring reconciliation with the fund administrator data at all times. 

 

What we are looking for:​

  • 3 year experience in a similar role in a fund or other financial institution 

  • Highly proficient in English, including speaking, reading, and writing skills – most of the work is in English, so this is a must. 

  • High attention to detail. 

  • Service-oriented. 

  • Comfortable working with numbers and Excel spreadsheets. 

  • Ability to work independently and learn on the go. 

  • Team player 

This is a full-time role based in ION’s offices in Herzliya

Analyst - ION Asset Management (public markets)

​​

While we are not actively recruiting, we are always happy to engage with prospective analyst candidates who would like to join our investment team. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional intellectual and analytical capabilities, a passion for investing, strong motivation and drive, and high personal integrity. Investment Analysts work closely with Portfolio Managers to generate research and implement investment ideas. Successful Analysts are given greater responsibility and input into investment decisions over time.

We are interested in either long or short ideas, listed in the US, Europe, or Israel. For longs, we are looking for high quality businesses underappreciated by the market. For shorts, we are looking for businesses with material earnings downside.

 

Qualifications and Previous Experience:

  • 1-3 years of investment experience in public equities (strong preference), or similar investment position

  • Demonstrated passion for investing

  • Knowledge of fundamental investing

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Economics, Accounting, Business etc.) 

  • Basic Financial Modelling skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Familiarity with financial markets and interest in capital markets

  • Fluent in both English and Hebrew (verbal and written)

 

The job will be mainly based in ION’s offices in Herzliya. You will also have the opportunity to participate in Management meetings and other events across Israel.
