VP Finance
Responsibilities:
ION Asset Management is a growing asset management company that manages a number of hedge funds and private equity funds investing in Israel and abroad.
The VP Finance position has been created to support the Chief Financial Officer in his daily responsibilities of managing all financial activities of the company and the funds under its management. This includes taking responsibility for all aspects of the financial management and reporting of the Israeli companies as well as the US and Cayman ones in the group structure.
The position reports to the company’s CFO and requires close collaboration with management and all employees of the company. It also requires a good working relationship with external suppliers to the companies, including bookkeepers, fund administrators, banks, auditors etc.
This is a full-time position in the Herzliya Pituach office.
Key Activities:

Support the CFO in overseeing all financial aspects of the companies in the group. This will include:

Oversight of financial records and general ledger integrity.

Monthly reporting of financial performance and cash flow management.

Budgeting preparation and monitoring.
-
Managing complex tax matters including all reporting relating to the companies and to the funds’ investors.

Coordination with and management of auditors to cover year-end audits for all companies, including production of financial statements.

Oversee payroll, expenses and staff-related costs.

Oversee and supervise work done in the administration of the private equity funds for the purpose of quarterly accounting and investor reporting.

Be involved with financial reporting and other aspects in relation to the hedge funds under management.

Ensure that all systems used by the Company are fit for purpose and provide the efficient and scalable solutions.

Qualifications and Previous Experience:

CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.

Minimum five years working in a capital markets environment. Fund experience strongly preferred.

Exposure and familiarity with Israeli and international tax matters.

Being a core part of our small but nimble investing team, you will have exposure to all aspects of the investment world: investment thesis development, financial analysis, portfolio company support, fund management, investment decision making, fundraising and more.
Impact & Key Responsibilities

Conduct market research and thesis development on sectors of interest including bottom-up and top-down analysis of markets, identifying the key growth drivers of the sector, recognize the competitive dynamics and identify key risks to consider

Support the Investment Team in due diligence efforts including detailed analysis of the company, product, market, competitive landscape and financial performance

Maintain and update sector benchmarking models and portfolio company valuation models based on changes in company performance and industry metrics

Monitor and keep track of the Israeli ecosystem development and ICP’s target universe and support pipeline creation

Provide support and guidance to portfolio companies as they scale their businesses on the global stage

Attend Management meetings, conferences and other networking events

Requirements & Qualifications:

2-4 years of experience in Venture Capital/Private Equity, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Strategy Consulting roles
