Managing Director and Head of Strategic Growth

John joined ION in 2026 as a Managing Director and Head of Strategic Growth, and is also responsible for overseeing the Marketing team. Prior to joining ION, John held senior management roles in investment banks for over 30 years, most recently serving as a Managing Director at Jefferies. Previously, he was the Global Head of European and International equities sales at UBS, successfully managing first-ranked sales teams on both sides of the Atlantic. Throughout his career, John has built and run highly successful product teams across both developed and emerging markets, and has been an II 1st rated analyst. He also founded, built, and eventually transferred his own firm to Jefferies in 2023. John is a qualified accountant.
